Hi, I'm Lily, and I'm a breast cancer survivor.

Symptoms Breast Self Examination 1

I did a self-check and discovered a suspicious lump. After consulting a doctor and undergoing medical evaluation, I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer.

When I got the diagnosis, I found it hard to focus. I also felt:

  • Frightened, helpless and worried
  • Grief, lonely and vulnerable

After my cancer diagnosis, I made adjustments to my diet by adopting a healthier diet and exercising more.

Medical Care Lumpectomy 1

I underwent lymphadenectomy, chemotherapy and radiation therapy, based on my doctor’s recommendation. I also opted for a lumpectomy to remove the tumor. Finalizing this treatment plan made me feel highly motivated, hopeful, relieved and happy.

Fortunately, I didn’t experience any side effects from the surgery.

I continue to eat healthily.

My fear has always been the thought “Can I survive after all the treatment?” I try to think positively at all times.
