Who is Mindy Cohn?

Mindy Cohn’s first cancer diagnosis

Cohn was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. After sensing that something was wrong, Cohn went to visit a doctor. After a scan and a follow-up biopsy, she discovered that she had breast cancer.

Over the next five years, Cohn underwent a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Reflecting on her cancer journey, Cohn shared that it was draining.

“The cancer metastasized. It kept spreading and coming back. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, and then it would. And then I’d wait for another shoe to drop, and it would. I was frustrated and enraged. I couldn’t control any of this. I couldn’t fix it,” she shared.

Fortunately, Cohn recovered well and was declared cancer-free in 2017.

Cohn also remained positive about it, adding that she will be “Recouping for another couple of weeks and then ready for my next adventure. Onwards!”
