In October 2025, American TV personality Teddi Mellencamp shared in her podcast, Two Ts In A Pod, that there was “no detectable cancer left” in her body.

Recently in December 2025, Kyle Richards, the last remaining original full time cast member on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, also shared on USA TODAY about the latest update on former co-star Teddi Mellencamp’s cancer journey. Richards confirmed again in an Interview on Entertain This! that Teddi Mellencamp is currently cancer free.

After being diagnosed with melanoma in 2022, followed by stage 4 metastasis to her lungs and brain in 2025, Mellencamp has been on a long journey with cancer. Below is the timeline of her cancer journey thus far.

Teddi Mellencamp’s cancer journey in 2022

Mellencamp shared on Instagram in March 2022 that she’d had a suspicious mole removed. She had been avoiding her yearly skin check up due to her own anxiety. It was her former co-star Kyle Richards who brought her to see a doctor after seeing the discoloration on her back. Within minutes of seeing her back, the doctor suspected it to be melanoma and “did a big removal”.

In October 2022, Mellencamp took to Instagram once again with a new update: she had undergone surgery to remove her melanomas, as well as a few affected lymph nodes. She also got additional biopsies on other spots and revealed that she would be getting a full genetic mutation test done while advocating for others to go for regular check-ups.

“I don’t share this for sympathy- I am sharing because one of the things that keeps me going through all of this is your messages telling me you are getting tested,” She wrote on her Instagram post.

In December 2022, Mellencamp shared a positive cancer update. The surgeries were successful and the margins were clear. The genetic test that she had gotten also showed that she had no mutations of concern. She then revealed that she had 11 melanomas and 3 lymph nodes removed during the surgery.

Unfortunately, Teddi Mellencamp’s experience with cancer didn’t end there.

In January 2023, Mellencamp shared on an Instagram post that during her 4-6 week checkup, doctors found three new white spots that needed to be biopsied. She further revealed that she also felt a bump on her neck that she brushed aside, thinking “it was nothing”. However, the ultrasound came back irregular and she ended up getting a needle biopsy on the lymph node on her neck.

Her next melanoma update came in September 2023, sharing that she received a call from her doctor that not all the margins were clear after her last wide excision surgery in October 2022. They recommended that she start on a five-week immunotherapy cream, as they no longer feel comfortable cutting due to the size of the affected area.

Just a few months later in December 2023, Mellencamp told her followers on Instagram that she had a wide excision removal to check if the immunotherapy had worked. Unfortunately, it did not. Mellencamp wrote that her doctors presented her with a few new options and they eventually decided that she would undergo surgery later in the month to “remove a larger portion of the problematic area.”
