My name is Diana, I’m from Colombia.
I have two kids and work as a financial technologist in accounting. Right now, I’m fighting stage 3 breast cancer.

I was being monitored for a lump I had in my left breast which at first they biopsied and found to be benign. However, after two years it became bad, my hemoglobin was low, making me constantly sleepy and my hair was falling out. I felt bad but I didn't know what I had, I never thought it was cancer. With my confidence in Father God, I believed I would recover 100%.

I was surprised, as if I’d been hit by a bucket of cold water. I didn’t expect it. Still, I thought of Father God, and I told him “I am in your hands, Lord”.

I devoted myself more to prayer, praise and worship. I took advantage of the time to share with my family who have been very attentive to me throughout this process, and I decided to live with gratitude because Father God has blessed me in the midst of my illness. Beyond that, I tried to eat healthier, as well.

Deciding on my treatment made me happier, more relieved, motivated and hopeful. My doctors recommended quadrantectomy, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and hormone therapy, which I eventually picked. During chemo, I did doxorubicin, paclitaxel, cyclophosphamide and ondansetron-hydroxycin hydrochloride. Afterwards, I did unilateral oncological mammoplasty and removal of the lymphatic nodes.

In terms of side effects, the ones that affected me the most were:
- Hair loss
- Nausea
- Vomiting
Lots of prayer helped me manage the side effects.
Before my diagnosis, I had resigned from the company where I worked. I was self-employed and I had several debts. I went to the banks to inform that I would not be able to pay the fees. Some told me that there was nothing I could do because I couldn’t get critical illness insurance, while others applied a subsidy that helped me a little. Once again Father God intervened, helping me little by little to pay the debts. It supported me, I still owe a lot but my trust is in Him, that He will help me get out of all this.

I improved the way I eat, I avoid sweets, and have more vegetables and proteins, as well as much more prayer, I improved my relationship with Father God, I have known him a little more through His word.
I spent a bit more time with my children, while intimacy with my partner fell by a bit. We no longer go on family trips for now.

For my family, I want to serve people, and make a family journey to serve Father God. My biggest dream is to study the Word more, to feed the Spirit to serve and strengthen those who need it. With my loved ones, my biggest dream is to fulfill their goals and dreams, to be there for them when they need me.

It’s the pain. Although I consider myself strong, the pain after my surgery weakened me, it left me without strength. But, this was a result of not being careful right after my surgery.
To overcome it, I bent my knees and prayed, I cried out to our Heavenly Father, that only He could relieve me and as always he recovered me, he gave me new breath.

Now, I feel:
- Confident
- Courageous
- Hopeful
- Inspired
- Thankful
Jesus died on the cross for my sins. He was innocent, and suffered without saying anything. What I am going through is nothing compared to what Jesus endured, and I know that as a child of Father God, He will help with healing my life.

To others, I would say: “For those who today receive news as intense as this, I tell them that they are not alone, that Father God is always with us, that He is the white page where the black spot (illness) is found. While there is life, there is hope and what better than to place it in our Heavenly Father, if He is with us, who is against us? In his love all fear goes away, that is why I advise them not to stop looking for him. I assure you that the road becomes easier and the people who have seen my process are surprised that my desert has been more bearable because I am not alone, He and his angels that he has placed in my life have allowed me to live special moments with many blessings. I can only tell you to never stop believing in him, look for him and love him, it feels spectacular. Blessings.”
