My name is Katherine, and I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023.

I first discovered some symptoms while I was practicing yoga. After doing a self-examination, I found suspicious symptoms on my right breast. Subsequently, my breast cancer was diagnosed as stage 0. I sought a second opinion, as I wanted to consult a more experienced doctor.

After being diagnosed, I felt
- Out of control
- Unfocused
- Inferior/Insecure
- Nervous
- Worried
- Isolated/Lonely
- Powerless

I changed my diet after I was diagnosed by eating healthily on a daily basis.

In order to treat my cancer, surgery was recommended. I was happy and relieved after deciding on my treatment plan. I felt quite motivated and hopeful.

Thankfully, I did not experience any side effects from treatment.

While I felt bad, fearful and sad before, these days I feel more courageous, hopeful and thankful.

Throughout the journey, I was afraid of not being able to help take care of my young children. Discussions with my spouse helped me to cope with this fear.
