My name is Shan, and in 2023, I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer after a breast ultrasound showed abnormalities.
Prior to my diagnosis, I did not experience any symptoms.
I felt frightened, overwhelmed and worried after being diagnosed.
I did not make changes to my lifestyle following my diagnosis.
While I’ve just been diagnosed and have yet to receive treatment, I have decided on my treatment plan, which will include:
- Surgery
- Hormone therapy
The biggest fears I have are that of relapse and some genetic-related concerns. I’m still trying to overcome this fear.
My feelings have not changed following my diagnosis. I am still fearful and worried.
