Susanna Profile

Hi, my name is Susanna and this is my experience with cancer.

After seeking medical attention for a swollen breast, I was ultimately diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. This news took me by surprise and left me reeling in fear.

My doctor recommended a lumpectomy and chemotherapy as part of my treatment plan. After taking his recommendations into account and doing my own research, I proceeded with this treatment regimen.

Michi Emotions Today

My journey through treatment involved following the treatment plan recommended by my doctor. It included breast-conserving surgery/lumpectomy and chemotherapy. I proceeded with these treatment options based on my doctor’s recommendation and after doing my own research on the matter. Deciding upon this treatment plan made me relieved, motivated, and hopeful.

Hair in a hand

During my treatment, the most prominent side effect I experienced was hair loss. Despite the fact that my hair was falling out, I did not do anything to actively manage it.

Timothy Words

Following my cancer treatment, I didn’t make any changes to my lifestyle. However, what did change drastically was my sex life with my partner, as we are no longer as intimate with each other since finding out about my cancer diagnosis.

As of now, I haven't laid out grand plans for the future. For my family, we aim to continue leading a normal life, cherishing every day moments as much as possible. As for myself, I look forward to indulging in one of my passions—attending live shows, particularly musicals that I love.

Aspirations Travel

My biggest aspiration since being diagnosed has been to lead a rich and fulfilling life surrounded by my partner and friends. I dream of embarking on adventures together with my loved ones. One dream that stands out is traveling to New York City with my best friend.

Clara Biggest Fear

Throughout my journey to recovery, my greatest fear was the prospect of getting sicker, losing my strength mentally and physically. My partner has been a great help in overcoming this fear, offering me reassurance whenever I need it.
