2025 updates on Barry Manilow’s cancer
Although he had just recovered from over 11 weeks of bronchitis, another MRI had recently revealed a cancerous spot on his left lung that needed to be removed.
As of December 2025, the cancer has not spread, though Manilow is undergoing further testing to confirm his lung cancer diagnosis. He had scheduled the surgery to remove the spot after the A Gift of Love charity concert series ended.

According to Manilow’s post, the renowned singer confirmed his current plan is to only undergo surgery. “No chemo. No radiation. Just chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns”. The recovery process would take about one month after the lung cancer surgery.
However, he expressed his apologies for needing to reschedule his concerts planned for January 2026. Manilow continued to be positive about his situation, and encouraged his fans to look forward to his Valentine’s weekend concerts in 2026, with concerts planned up to April 2026. “Something tells me that February weekend is going to be one big party!”
The singer also encouraged his fans to go for early lung cancer screening, especially if they had symptoms of lung cancer.
